Iranian short flick ‘The Visit’ has been set to go on screen at the Under the Moon International Film Festival (Islantilla Cinefórum) in Spain.
Directed, written and produced by Azadeh Mousavi, the 14-minute film is about Elaheh who is allowed to visit her husband, a prisoner, after six months.
She and her little daughter, Tara, have just one day to get ready for the significant meeting.
Mahin Sadri, Maneli Nafar and Lili Farhadpour are on the cast list of the short flick.
‘The Visit’ has gained the Bronze Earring Statue for Best Short Narrative at the 6th Herat International Women’s Film Festival in Afghanistan.
The film has gone on screen at some notable global events, including the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France, the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US, the Seoul International Women's Film Festival in South Korea, the Figari Film Fest in Italy, the ifva Awards in China, the Flickerfest International Film Festival in Australia, the Friss Hús Budapest Short Film Festival in Hungary, and the Iranian Film Festival of Zurich in Switzerland, where it won best short film award.
The Islantilla Cinefórum is a hub for film-lovers, inviting them to enjoy the most avant-garde audiovisual proposals in the best of settings on the beach.
It is an initiative promoted by the Mancomunidad de Islantilla in collaboration with various public and private entities.
Activities of the Islantilla Cinefórum take place during July and August to enjoy the night and the projections under the moonlight.
The 2021 edition of the Islantilla Cinefórum will kick off on July 3.
